Stop Press...GAIN corporate members input into the Buckland Review
Thank you to our corporate members who recently gathered together to input into the Buckland Review with the aim of improving employment outcomes for neurodivergent individuals.
At the meeting, we were delighted to hear feedback from James Cusack of Autistica, who is leading the review with Sir Robert, sharing that our industry is ahead of other sectors in the pursuit of neuro-inclusion. Thank you to our members, both corporate and individual who continue to drive our initiative forward.
Embed your Mission Statement in your Recruitment Campaign
by Vina Theodorakopoulou (Dr)
At times when employees evaluate their options, mirroring our values is essential in attracting, utilising and developing the talent we need. Is our company mission statement the mirror? Vina Theodorakopoulou (Dr) recognises the value of a workforce that is firstly aware and secondly proud of the stories and aspirations behind the company.
Take a look at the mentorship introduction pack and watch out for the online resource, which will be made available in our new member hub website launching shortly.
Did you know gender-diverse people are 3-6 times more likely to be neurodivergent than cisgender people, as noted by the largest study to date from 641,860 people, 30,892 of which were autistic folks and 3,777 gender-diverse individuals? Vic Mazonas shares a thought piece on the importance of intersectionality for pride month.
We wanted to take a moment on the anniversary of our launch to reflect on how much we've developed in this short time, and to look forward to where our efforts will take us over the next year and beyond.
With gratitude to our Founder Funders; the organisations that said yes and the individuals who have trusted us. We are look forward to creating neuro-inclusive workplaces across our industry.

Let's Talk - Transitions and Changes: A GAIN Corporate Member Event -
Tue 11th Jul 12:30pm - 1:30pm (online)
Transitions and changes in the workplace can take many forms. A new job, a promotion or a change of role and duties. Changes to schedules, changing teams as colleagues move on and new people join, changes to office layouts and norms following refits. The transition from work to parental leave, sickness or bereavement leave and back again. The world-changing alteration of a year or more of WFH during lockdown, then changing back as the world has started to open up once more. The transition into retirement at the end of a long career.
Neurodivergent people can find transitions and changes a source of greater stress and anxiety. In this corporate-member exclusive panel event, we'll discuss how you can help create a more neuroinclusive workplace by approaching workplace changes and transitions with an understanding of neurodivergent needs and, through this, create a more inclusive workplace for all.
